How to get there:

Where to stay:

Where to eat, drink, and visit in Saratoga Springs:

Hamlet and Ghost for great cocktails and creative plates. They've just opened a sister restaurant called Familiar Creature that we also recommend, for small creative plates and a vibrant wine list.

Mrs. London's for coffee, pastries, and desserts

9 Miles East for a low-key sourdough pizza feast

The Market Bar in Franklin Square Market

if you want to have a cocktail and some seafood before stocking up on snacks

9 Maple for martinis of all kinds, and sometimes jazz

Saratoga Spa State Park for local leaf peeping

Congress Park if you love ducks!

Camp Stomping Ground

3430 Boyhaven Road

Middle Grove, NY

12850

Saratoga Springs is the closest city, and our recommended home base. The closest airport is Albany International (ALB), and is about a 30 minute drive from Saratoga Springs. Ridesharing and cabs are available from ALB, as is a bus to Saratoga Springs.

If you're coming from NYC and prefer not to drive, you can take a scenic 2-3 hour ride on Amtrak up the Hudson River. It's lovely! If you ride into Albany, cabs are available to take you to Saratoga Springs. Cars are available for rent at the Albany-Rensselaer Train Station through Enterprise. From the Saratoga Springs train station, cabs and Uber are available. If you do take the train, sit on the left side on the way north, and the right on the way south for the best river views.

If you'd prefer not to drive to our wedding, Uber and cabs are available downtown, and we will be providing a shuttle between Saratoga Springs and Camp Stomping Ground on our wedding day. Stay tuned for drop-off and pick-up times and locations.

If you don't mind driving, signage will direct you to parking on site.

We recommend Saratoga Springs for its Victorian charm, walkable amenities, and the plenty hotels, inns, and bed-and-breakfasts to choose from. We've listed a few ideally located hotels below:

The Adelphi Hotel

Spa City Motor Lodge

The Inn at Saratoga

Saratoga Arms

Batcheller Mansion Inn

Saratoga Springs, Ballston Spa, and the surrounding area are full of great vacation rentals that can accommodate all group sizes. We recommend VRBO.

If you want the full summer camp experience and don't mind cold October nights, we have a limited number of (free) cabins at camp. For more details, please REACH OUT to Nina or George and we can share details.
